We support National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) home modification designs and applications and assist with your projects to achieve effective outcomes.

We provide a review of Complex Home Modifications applications, including providing advice to Occupational Therapists and design teams involved in the application.

The NDIS provides funding for home modifications to ensure people with disability can move around their home safely and comfortably, catering to their physical support requirements.

The NDIS has developed the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding scheme for people who require specialist housing solutions i.e., NDIS participants with 'extreme functional impairment' or very high support needs who meet specific criteria. 

We deliver reviews of SDA designs to provide holistic design and accessibility advice to design teams, including developers.

Three Performance Levels

There are three levels of performance: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each level has varying requirements.

LHA Silver Level is based on seven core livable housing design elements. Incorporating these features will avoid more costly home modifications if required at a later date. Read more here.

LHA Gold Level features twelve core design elements which include the Silver Level design elements and an additional five enhanced requirements. LHA Gold level provides for more generous dimensions for most of the core livable housing design elements and introduces elements in areas such as the kitchen and bedroom. Read more here.

LHA Platinum Level has fifteen design elements that are better in accommodating aging in place and people with higher mobility needs. This level requires more generous dimensions for most of the core livable design elements and introduces additional elements for features such as the living room and flooring. Read more here.
